Tonei Glavinic, EA

Tonei is a social justice educator, nonprofit operations expert, and tax professional currently based in Mexico City. Born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska, they have been working on social justice and human rights issues in the United States since 2006, with a particular focus on education and LGBTQ communities.

They currently work as Director of Operations for the Dangerous Speech Project and as a seasonal operations manager for the Center for Talented Youth at Johns Hopkins University. They also serve on the Board of Directors for Trans Lifeline.

Tonei also has a passion for travel, especially leveraging points and miles to make travel more accessible and enjoyable. They write on this subject for a variety of outlets, including Travel with Grant on the Boarding Area travel blogging network.

Tonei holds a BA in Political Science and Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies from American University and an MA in Social Justice and Community Development from Loyola University Chicago.
